Moonlit Morning

It was just past seven in the morning and the sky was slate blue, glowing with that hesitant light of late-autumn daybreak. But showing moon surface detail requires considerable underexposure, hence this deep inky backdrop more suggestive of night.

Photo taken on November 27, 2015, at 7:08 in the morning in Warsaw’s Mokotów with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT fitted with the 200mm/f2.8 L-series lens. (And what a lens it is to make up for all the shortfalls of that laughable camera body.)
