Twenty-twenty-four was my year. I stopped micro-managing my son, took photos at festivals, made life-changing connections, sold a cabin, bought a car, turned forty-seven, attained near-fluency in German, and tossed out fifteen kilos of ancient photo albums from an era I’d like to set free.
My thank-you to this remarkable year (and to all of the people who have seen, soothed, loved, tolerated, taught, healed, hired, or inspired me) is a collection of portraits. Most of these I haven’t published before, some I have. All got the fancy black-and-white treatment that lends that timeless “gelatin silver print” elegance to any occasion.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. You, who trusted me with the documentary task. You, who don’t mind it when I’m taking pictures. You, who are in the photos. You, who are in my life.
