Laboratorium: Focus Jam was inspired by the jams my friend Iza attended at this year’s edition of the Finnish CI festival Skiing on Skin. Iza’s invitation was half monograph, half magic spell—even those who read just the headline arrived primed for quiet, attentive presence. I got the group’s green light to take photos, which I right away knew would wind up dreamy and black-and-white. It was the first jam in a long time that evoked in me so much renewed enthusiasm for CI. Thank you, dear Iza!
