It is a joy to share my twenty favorite photos from the first contact improvisation jam of the 2025/2026 season held by Pracownia Ruchu Sytuacje* at the dance studio in Twarda on the third Sunday in October during the daylit/innocent hours of 11 to 14.

I am posting the photos with implicit permission from all participants recognizable in the photos, who first allowed me to take pictures during the jam, then at review time did not request that any of the images shown here be deleted from the public event archive.

My take on these photos is that they convey deep focus, mindful playfulness, and a sense of ceremony. Andrzej had us begin with thirteen minutes of stillness in silence and in my view this enhanced each person’s capacity for listening to self and others. And then every wave of embodiment and presence was a catalyst for more embodiment and presence. To document something like this is a privilege and a pleasure. To document it while resonating with those around me, in rhythm with the ebb and flow of our collective attention? Now that is sublime.

*The way Sytuacje prefers their name be written is a whole lowercase-and-punctuation major thing that my mental software simply fails to run given my compulsion to follow certain rules (despite my disdain for others).
